I went to Albany for a trip with my family. This was my first trip. I went with my husband and my kid. I went there by plane. I reached there in two to three hours. I stayed there in a hotel among cheap hotels in albany. Albany is the capital of New York. Albany city is the vibrant city, workers work in the bar and restaurant after the working hours. Erie Canal and fort orange are the famous places to represent Albany. I visited the following places in Albany.

New York State capitol-Sitting majestically atop Albany's State Street hill, the New York State Capitol has served as the seat of government for New York since the 1880s. The building is a marvel of late 19th century architectural grandeur. Under the direction of five architects, the Capitol was built by hand of solid masonry over a period of 25 years. When Governor Theodore Roosevelt declared the Capitol complete in 1899, its cost had exceeded twenty-five million dollars. Holiday inn Albany is a cheap and discounted hotel in Albany.

Empire state plaza-It lies between the New York State Capitol building and the New York State Museum. While many critics have found that the Plaza is architecturally intimidating, at best, it can be quite beautiful. Free concerts are often held on the plaza during the summer, ranging from Blues Festivals to Rock concerts. And the Fourth of July fireworks are spectacular.

Corning tower observation deck-from the 42^nd floor we can see the whole Albany as well as the foot hills of Adirondacks, the Catskills, and the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts.

Washington park- in the middle of the park there is a playhouse where whole summer music is played. Tulip festival is organized. In this the whole park is decorated with the tulip flowers. Lark Street- it is considered as the NYC’s east village. Lark Street is full of Albany youth culture and it is must to see. Lark Street is between Washington Park and the Empire State Plaza, and the region between the plaza and park is attractive and suggestive of Albany's better days. In September, Lark Street is the site of one of Albany's most treasured events called "Larkfest", when Lark Street is closed off between Washington and Madison creating a very well attended and popular street fair.
