Last month I visited New York City. It is an enormous city. It is a large city and divided in to many districts. New York is the biggest city in the United States. It is located at Hudson River. It is the USA's largest metro area, with a population of 18.7 million. As of 2007, it was 5th in the world, after Tokyo, Sao Paulo, Mexico City and Seoul. New York City consists of five boroughs: - Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island. It is home to many world-class museums, art galleries, and theaters.

I went New York by plane. This city is well connected by air with flights from almost every corner of the world. I landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). It is in the east of the city. I entered in to the city by taxi. It is a most flexible route into the city from JFK. There were some of the most expensive hotels in new york city of the world. I stayed at a mid-range hotel with a decent room and a restaurant or room service.

Driving is very typical in this city. Parking is scarce and garages were very expensive up to $40 per day. If you park illegally, you will be charged for parking ticket; if towed you may have to pay some money to get yoor car back from Police. The New York City Transit Authority issues MetroCards for using the bus and subway system in the city. You must have a MetroCard to enter the subway system.

Smoking is strictly restricted in this city.There were many places to saw like Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, Times Square, Lincoln Center, Rockefeller Plaza, Top of the Rock etc. Statue of Liberty is famous in the whole world. Top of the Rock is the observation level of the Rockefeller Center. New York has some of the finest museums in the world. There were some Museums of Arts and Culture, Science and Technology.

This city also have some numerous lovely parks like Central Park, Fort Tryon Park, Pelham Bay Park and Flushing Meadow Park. There were many Theaters for entertainment. There were many type of Delis & Street Food like: - New York Bagel, Hot Dog, sandwich, Pizza, Cheesecake etc. There were many  vegetarian restaurants. It is a safest city in the United States.
